Jishín Karate Club

is the

Full-Time Headquarters

of the

Jishín Karate Group.

The Style of Karate studied here is

the Traditional Form "Wado Ryu".

It has a structured timetable,

with 2 separate Public Training Sessions available

each evening, Monday - Friday, incorporating

Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced.

All Aspects of Karate & Self Defence Training

are catered for within the week.

Private Tuition & Personal Training

are also available daily, by prior appointment.

The Headquarters Address is the Cwmbwrla area of Swansea

but is actually situated at the base of Townhill

and quite often referred to as the "Townhill" Club.

It also has Satellite Club in other areas of Swansea.

You Can Download Introduction Forms,

Membership Forms & WKK Licence Application Forms

From The Club Page.

The Club has approximately 200 Students,

but new Students are always welcome.

Students returning to training are also given a warm "Welcome Back".

The friendly atmosphere of a "Family" environment

and the comfortable suroundings of a Professional Dojo

are attributes, that the Club are really proud of.

Affiliation to the "Welsh Karate Governing Body"

www.wkgb.org.uk

The Only Sports Council recognised Governing Body for Karate in Wales,

bestows the correct credentials for a Club of this calibre.

The W.K.G.B. is one of the most contemporary of the U.K.'s Governing Bodies.

Its approach to Governance & Guidance is very "Forward Thinking".

Full membership of the “Welsh Karate Kai"

(Formerly British Karate Association - Wales)

www.welshkaratekai.co.uk

serves as a yardstick for the quality and durability of Jishín Karate Club.

Through the assistance of the WKK, the Club, its Instructors and Members

enjoy a comprehensive range of Insurance, Promotions, Competition and Courses.

Jishín Karate Club is the Headquarters of the Welsh Karate Kai.

Currently, one of the largest Association in Wales, one of the most successful and

proudly, highly active within Welsh Karate Governing Body Events.

All Instructors at the Club are fully qualified W.K.G.B. Coaches.

Each holding Professional Indemnity Insurance, with current First Aid Certificates.

All Instructors have been through the rigorous test of an

Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Check.

In line with Governing Body proceedures,

all regularly attend Child Protection Awareness Courses.

The Chief Instructor of Jishín Karate Club is Paul Scott (5th Dan).

A seasoned veteran, with more than 35 years experience in Karate.

Starting his Martial Arts career in 1972 and achieving his Shodan in 1983.

Paul has a great knowledge of the European & World Competition Circuits.

As Chief Instructor of the Welsh Karate Kai,

he is a Director Member of the Welsh Karate Governing Body Ltd.

Also holding a number of Senior positions such as;

National Coach Development Officer - Assistant National Coach

Chairman of the Technical Committee - Child Protection Officer.

As Chief Instructor of Jishín Karate Club,

he is directly responsible for the Tuition & Training of high quality Karateka,

but still plays a dominant active role with Jishín Karate Clubs' Novice Students,

believing the grounding of a Student plays a particular role in their later development.

Helping To Create

Welsh Champions - British Champions

International Champions - Commonwealth Champions.

As You Would Expect From A Professional Dojo!

Fully Equipped - Fully Matted - Full To The Brim With Training Goodies!

   Bags

Bagwork & Padwork are an integral part of Martial Arts Training.

This Club has one of the most comprehensive range of impact training equipment, available to its Students.

Controlled Sparring is a skillful and practical artform, but occasionally you need to cut loose and give it some "Wellie".

The Bags, Shields, Thai Pads, Speedballs & Focus Mitts allow that "Full Contact" Training feel,

without the fear of excessive injury and running out of "Sparring Partners"®™. Nothing quite like it really!

 Gemma&Rhys

The Dojo is fully matted and therefore safe for the incorporation of Sweeps, Throws & Takedowns.

A highly skillful element of the Competition Arena and a definite must for Street Self Defence.

Everyone should be afforded the opportunity to train in an environment,

that offers safety to its Students & Members,  whilst not watering down the Martial element.

After all, it's not needlecraft, is it?
