Jishín Karate Club
New Dojo For 2010 Jishín has recently embarked on an expansion and refurbishment, which will give it a 1800 Sq.Ft. fully matted & equipped Dojo. Also included in the new format, will be a Gym, Sports Therapy Massage Clinic, Large Open Plan Lounge/Reception and a Café. In addition to all this, a Martial Arts Shop open to the Public, which will include an Embroidery Service, Heat Press & Vehicle Signage.

Jishín Karate Club
is a Full-Time Headquarters for its group.
The Style of Karate studied here is
the Traditional Form "Wado Ryu".
It has a structured timetable, with
3 separate Public Training Sessions
Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday
All Aspects of Karate & Self Defence Training
are catered for within the week.
Private Tuition & Personal Training
are available daily, by prior appointment. Self Defence Courses are also a regular item.
The Headquarters Address is the Cwmbwrla area of Swansea
but is actually situated at the base of Townhill
and quite often referred to as the "Townhill" Club.

The Club has a large Student Body,
but new Students wishing to train are always welcome.
Students returning to training are always given a warm "Welcome Back".

Through the assistance of the W.K.K., the Club, its Instructors and Members

The W.K.K. enjoys complete autonomy ,
under the direction, guidance & experience of Chief Instructor Paul Scott (5th Dan).
Jishín Karate Club is also the Headquarters of the Welsh Karate Kai.
Currently, the one of the largest Associations in Wales and one of the most successful.
Proudly, it is highly active within the Welsh Karate Governing Body.
All Instructors at the Club are fully qualified W.K.G.B. Coaches.
Each holding Professional Indemnity Insurance, with current First Aid Certificates.
All Instructors have been through the rigorous test of an
Enhanced Criminal Record Bureau Check.
In line with Governing Body procedures,
all regularly attend SCUK Safeguarding & Protecting Children Courses.
The Chief Instructor is Paul Scott (5th Dan).
A seasoned veteran, with more than 37 years experience in Karate.
Starting his Martial Arts career in 1972 and achieving his Shodan in 1983.
Paul has a great knowledge of the European & World Competition Circuits.
As Chief Instructor of the Welsh Karate Kai,
he is a Director Member of the Welsh Karate Governing Body Ltd.
Also holding a number of Senior positions such as;
National Coach Development Officer - National Coach
Chairman of the Technical Committee & Child Protection Officer. Paul is also a UK Sports Tutor.
As Chief Instructor of Jishín Karate Club,
he is directly responsible for the Tuition & Training of high quality Karateka,
but still plays a dominant active role with Jishín Karate Clubs' Novice Students,
believing the grounding of a Student plays a particular role in their later development.
